Screencast for PostRails
PostRails is a PostgreSQL database browser and application server. The project was started in the Breakpoint coding session in the beginning of July 2009. The source was published in August on Github. And now, a Screencast should finally explain what PostRails does!
Mapfish sample application with the Ruby on Rails plugin
Our sample application using the mapping application framework Mapfish with Ruby on Rails is finally available on GitHub.
We also updated the Ruby MapFish server to the newest MapFish protocol coming in the next release and contributed additional documentation.
Mapfish Ruby on Rails server
Mapfish is mapping application framework based on OpenLayers for the mapping part, and on ExtJS for the GUI (widgets) part.
The server part in version 1.0 is available as Java and Python implementation. We contributed recently an additional server implementation written as a Ruby on Rails plugin.
See the README for more information.
ical to timeline
Allthough this being a hack to scratch my itch named KDE Bug 34682, it took me about 11h all the same. Find a ruby programm attached that dumps a timeline.
This is fork ware. It does what I want but if you need to tune it to your needs then fork it, send me a note and link back to this page, Thanks.

improved mybackup
Here’s an improved version of mybackup, a MySql database backup tool. The changes against 0.9.5c are:
0.9.6:
- option to exclude databases
- by default exclude MySql’s information_schema metainfo DB
- access TABLE STATUS rows by name instead of position
- use the standard ‘-’ for STDOUT instead of ‘BLANK’ which wouldn’t work
- open log file before writing any output

Glue
It is based on the idea of a credit/debit system. In past times this system needed a centralised controlling authority. With the uprise of public key systems and trust rings a central point is not required any longer.
Glue at it's current stage is not even alpha and aspires to explore the concept and eventually provide a proof of concept implementation.
This page has not been officialy published anywhere. If you've found it and are interested in helping with the project, then please contact me at "tpo_hp at sourcepole.ch".
Available Software:
Glue.tgz
GPG.tgz - this is a modified version of GPG a Perl module being developped by Philippe Froidevaux.
